Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

New Government Directive - 1st October 2006

Many people do not realise the problems they face by not having a current Fire Risk assessment in place:

  • Third party insurance liability. If you had a fire that caused another business to catch fire, would your Insurance Company pay YOU out?
  • Insurance liability. If you had a fire on YOUR premises would your Insurance Company pay YOU out?
  • Injury or Death of someone on your premises caused by a Fire on YOUR premises. What would be the outcome to YOU as the responsible person?
  • What will happen if YOU receive a call from the Fire Brigade?

A Fire Risk Assessment should include the following:

  • Fire Hazards
  • People at Risk
  • Evacuation Procedures (To include: disabled, deaf, blind & bed-bound)
  • Alarm
  • Fire directional signage
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Fire Doors
  • Escape Routes
  • Emergency Lighting
  • Smoke detection
  • Passive Fire (the spreading of fire from building to building & floor to floor)
  • Young Persons at work
  • Electrical portable appliances
  • Storage
  • Fuels
  • Contractors working on site

Are YOU or the people in your business capable of completing this assessment?

By having a Fire Risk Assessment completed by Fire Solutions UK, we will:

  • Look at your building with a different pair of eyes
  • Complete a Fire Risk Assessment that will satisfy both your Insurance Company & the Fire Brigade
  • Act on your behalf with the Fire Brigade should this be necessary
  • Find cost effective solutions to make YOUR premises a safe environment.
